Grand Slam: Azerbaijani judoka reaches final

Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov has qualified for the final of the Grand Slam tournament in Tel Aviv.
Report informs that the athlete, performing in the weight category up to 73 kilograms, defeated Oron Giner (Israel) in the 1/8 finals.
The 25-year-old athlete upset Igor Wandtke (Germany) in the quarterfinals and Tohar Butbul (Israel) in the semi-finals.
Heydarov will face Obidkhon Nomonov (Uzbekistan) in the final.
On the first day of the Grand Slam, Yashar Najafov won a silver medal in the category below 66 kilograms. In the category up to 60 kilograms, Keramet Huseynov took 5th place, and Balabek Agayev ended 7th. In all, nine judokas represent Azerbaijan at the competitions.
