Formula 1 cars will use Halo protection device

Baku. 20 July. REPORT.AZ/ Formula 1 cars will use Halo protection device from 2018.
Report informs, motorsport’s governing body finally approved it on Wednesday following a meeting of its strategy group which all F1 teams attended.
The purpose is to limit the risk of head injuries.
However, 9 out of 10 teams participating in the Formula 1 World Championship voted against the Halo system, the FIA leadership has ignored their views, taking into account security measures.
Final decision on Halo will be made at the FIA World Council.
Notably, Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2018 will be held on April 27-29.
