The first research paper on Sports Law was written in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
It was published by Kluwer Law International in an electronic version and formed part of the International Encyclopaedia of Laws.
The research contains normative-legal acts applied in the legal regulation of sports in Azerbaijan. At the same time, it includes sports dispute resolution mechanisms. This not only reflects the current situation of the field of sports law in Azerbaijan but will also serve as a basis for further discussions and reforms in order to develop the legal regulation of that field in Azerbaijan.
The main author, Naila Rza, is the first citizen of Azerbaijan to receive a master's degree in the field of international sports law, as well as the first graduate of the famous Spanish Law and Business Institute (ISDE) training specialists in the field of sports law from Azerbaijan. Rza, who works at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is also the former chairperson of AFFA's Player Status and Transfer Committee.
