Farid Gayibov: Holding international competitions in liberated territories significant event

Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov called the organization of international sports competitions in the territories liberated from occupation a significant event.

According to Report, the minister told journalists that a festive atmosphere currently prevails in Sugovushan, where the President's Cup 2025 international regatta has commenced.

"The growing number of participants shows that the interest in the regatta is increasing year by year. While the first regatta in Sugovushan had just four participants, this year there are over 20. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Azerbaijan Canoe and Kayak Federation for their excellent organization. Local and international competitions in this sport will continue to be held in the liberated territories in the coming years," Gayibov noted.
