Farid Gayibov: Golf among actively developing sports in Azerbaijan

Golf is one of the actively developing sports in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Sports Minister Farid Gayibov said at the closing ceremony of the Ambassador Golf Cup 2023 competition in Baku, according to Report.

Gayibov noted that the week from February 27 to March 5 was declared a week of sports, timed to March 5 - the Day of Physical Education and Sports in Azerbaijan. He added that the final events of this week will take place tomorrow.

Commenting on the importance of golf for the country, Garibov noted that Azerbaijan boasts many young golfers who successfully represent the country in the international arena.
