Champions Tour: Mammadyarov to face Aronian

Other matches of the quarterfinals will be held today at the Chessable Masters, the 8th stage of the Champions Tour organized by world chess champion Magnus Carlsen.

According to Report, the Azerbaijani representative Shahriyar Mammadyarov will face Levon Aronian (Armenia).

The 36-year-old grandmaster lost to his opponent 0.5: 2.5 on the first day of the match. If Mammadyarov defeats his opponent today, a tie-break will be played.

The online tournament will end on August 8. The prize fund is $100,000. The winner chess player will get $30,000. Azerbaijan's other player Teymur Rajabov's name is not on the participants' list.
