"Now the world is talking about war. With this forum, we have tried to organize a colorful event for humanity and peoples with this forum," the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation Bilal Erdogan said at the International Ethnosport Forum in Baku, Report informs.
Bilal Erdogan said the goal is to preserve the shared values of humanity and contribute to peace and solidarity.
He said they would work harder to revive traditional sports:
"The culture of every nation is valuable and worthy of respect. The world should be more colorful, not black. Every country and nation must develop sports. We want other nations and cultures to acknowledge this. In today's forum, we will discuss the past and future of traditional sports. We have contributed to the development of these sports in previous meetings. Peace and solidarity play a vital role in the development of ethnosports. We also employ all scientists who want to work in this field. We have also launched scholarship programs. The process of awarding the Doctor of Philosophy awards has started. We also have researchers at some universities."
According to Bilal Erdogan, the 5th Forum will be very fruitful:
"We want to increase the number of our members. It is a great success to bring together representatives of many countries and nations. This morning I met with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. I am grateful to him, and Minister of Youth Sports Farid Gayibov. Our next forum will be in Turkiye. Thank you all again for your participation."
