Azerbaijani chess player wins bronze medal at World Championship

Azerbaijani chess player Ayan Allahverdiyeva has won a bronze medal at the World Youth Chess Championship held in Gandhinagar, India, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
Azerbaijani representative took the third place after collecting 8.5 points in 11 rounds.
However, Narmin Abdinova and Sabina Rzali, among other chess players who participated in the World Championship, did not get into the prize-winners.
Meanwhile, 102 chess players from 44 countries competed in the Swiss system competition.
In 2023, Ayan Allahverdiyeva won the gold medal of the world chess championship among U-18 players last year.
