Azerbaijani boxer reaches semi-finals of European Championship

The European Championship among schoolboy and schoolgirl boxers continues in Erzurum, Turkiye, Report informs, referring to the official website of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation.

On the third day of the competition, the member of the Azerbaijan national team, Banuchichek Nasirli, faced the Italian Liparulo Anna de Donato in the quarterfinals.

In the 44-kilogram event, the athlete won the second round with full advantage. By advancing to the semi-finals, she secured at least a bronze medal.

Nasirli's next bout against a boxer from the UK will take place on August 18.

A total of 378 athletes from 28 countries compete in the European Championship.
