Azerbaijan to host Ambassador of Japan Cup

The open championship, the Ambassador of Japan Cup, will start on the 50th anniversary of the appearance of judo in Azerbaijan and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijani-Japanese diplomatic relations on July 26.
Report has learned from the Azerbaijan Judo Federation that about 200 athletes will take part in the two-day tournament among teenagers U-15.
Thirty-five teams from Ganja and other regions will participate in the competitions in the Goygol Olympic Sports Complex.
The main goal of the tournament is to strengthen Japanese-Azerbaijani friendly ties, as well as to form a healthy lifestyle among teenagers through sports, as well as to promote and encourage judo.
