Azerbaijan secures another medal in Islamic Solidarity Games

Azerbaijan secured another medal at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkiye, Report informs.
The taekwondo player Hashim Mahammadov, who performed in the 58 kg weight class, defeated the Pakistani athlete Khan Harun and advanced to the semi-finals.
Since Mahammadov qualified for the semi-finals, he is considered to have won at least the bronze medal.
Sayyad Dadashov (54 kg) left the competition in the 1/4 finals, while Saida Aliyeva (57 kg) and Roya Hajiyeva (53 kg) left in the 1/8 finals.
