Azerbaijan’s young female judokas have repeated a 25-year record, Report informs.
According to the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) and Fidan Alizada (57 kg) won gold medals at the European Championship in Tallinn, Estonia.
The Azerbaijani girls’ team last won two gold medals in 1999.
Additionally, Nizami Imranov (60 kg) secured a silver medal in the boys’ category. After the first day of the competition, Azerbaijan ranked first among 39 countries in both the girls’ ranking and the overall team score.
