90% of preparatory works on Azerbaijan Grand Prix completed

Baku. 20 April. REPORT.AZ/ 90% of preparatory works on Grand Prix of Formula 1 has been completed.

Report informs, head of Venue Delivery of Baku City Circuit's (BCC) Tom Butcher has said.

According to him, pit and team buildings, as well as garages are completely ready: "95% of works related with stands have been completed. The rest will be completed within next days. We expect a very nice race a week later.. As  in the past year, we will block the central roads on which  racing track will pass".

An Australian specialist said that all cargo arriving by sea and ship has already reached Baku. At the beginning of the next week, officials of the International Automobile Federation will visit Baku and conduct inspections. According to him, this year, entertainment events will be much more than previous ones: "So, you can advise your relatives to witness grandiose competitions, the most spectacular race of Formula 1".

T. Butcher also noted that the Baku track meets the standards and is ready for both rainy and windy weather.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix.will be held on April 27-29.
