Supreme Court annuls Ilgar Mammadov's conditional sentence

The Supreme Court has today held the court hearing on the cassation complaint filed against chairman of Real Party Ilgar Mammadov.

Report informs that the decision was announced in the process  presided by Judge Ahmad Nurmammadov.

According to the decision, the sentence delivered by the Sheki Court of Grave Crimes in relation to Ilgar Mammadov was changed and Mammadov's conditional sentence was annuled.

Thus, Mammadov's sentence was reduced to 5 years, 6 months and 9 days, and this term was considered as already served.

Notably, Mammadov and Yagublu were arrested on charges of organizing mass riots in Ismayilli on January 24, 2013. According to the decision of Sheki Court on Grave Crimes, Mammadov was sentenced to 7 years, and Yagublu to 5 years in prison.
