Two Russians injured in the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) passenger plane near Aktau, Kazakhstan, remain in serious condition, Alexei Kuznetsov, Assistant Minister of Health of Russia, told journalists, Report informs via Russian media.

According to Kuznetsov, treatment for the nine Russians injured in the crash continues at federal medical centers under the Ministry of Health of Russia and a hospital of the Moscow Department of Health.

“Two of the injured are in serious condition, four individuals, including a child, are in moderate condition, and three others are in light condition.”

He assured that all necessary medical assistance is being provided to the injured.

On December 25, an AZAL passenger aircraft on a Baku-Grozny flight crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan. Among the 67 people on board, 42 were Azerbaijani citizens, 16 were Russian, 6 were Kazakh, and 3 were Kyrgyz. Tragically, 38 individuals lost their lives, while 29 survived.
