Police detain medical workers for sale of fake COVID-19 certificates

Acting on a tip-off, the police in the central Azerbaijani district of Goycay have detained some people for the sale of fake COVID-19 passports to unvaccinated citizens.

Report was told by the Shaki regional group of the press service of the Interior Ministry that during the operation carried out by police officers, employees of the Goycay central district hospital, residents of the city, H. Eyvazov, I. Mammadov and L. Valiyev, suspected of illegal activities, were detained.

In the course of the investigation, it turned out that for AZN50-100, they issued fake vaccination certificates to some citizens, who applied to them.

An investigation is underway into the case at the Goycay District Police Department.
