Number of mines found in liberated territories last month announced

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has published the number of mines found during the operations carried out in the liberated territories last month.

Report informs, citing ANAMA, that from January 5 to 31, 32 anti-personnel, 27 anti-tank mines, and 230 unexploded ordnances were found in Tatar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Shusha, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan districts.

Thus, 402.7 hectares of territory have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnances.

From November 10, 2020, to January 31, 2022, 10,540 anti-personnel, 4,802 anti-tank mines, and 13,444 unexploded ordnances were found in the liberated territories.

Totally, 7,180 hectares of territory were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnances in the reporting period.
