Masked gunman strikes Baku pawnshop, police make quick arrest

A robbery unfolded at a pawnshop in Baku’s Nasimi district.

Report informs, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that a masked man in camouflage stormed the pawnshop with what appeared to be a firearm. He demanded cash from the two female employees, threatening their lives if they refused.

Thanks to a swift operation by Nasimi District Police, the suspect, 30-year-old Savalan Balabayli, was quickly apprehended.

The entire robbery was captured on the pawnshop’s security cameras, providing key evidence.

A criminal case has been launched, and the investigation is ongoing.
