Man arrested in Germany for injuring Azerbaijani citizen

A man has been detained in Germany for causing bodily harm to a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the European bureau of Report informs.
The incident occurred in October last year in Cologne.
A 37-year-old Azerbaijani citizen, who was traveling by train with his young son, suffered a head injury and filed a complaint with the police.
The Cologne police, which conducted an investigation based on surveillance camera images in train cars, detained a 43-year-old man who inflicted bodily harm on an Azerbaijani citizen. During interrogation, the man stated that he did not remember the incident, as at that moment he was drunk.
The man was taken to court and detained for two months.
