Iranian citizens' attempt to smuggle drugs to Azerbaijan foiled

Baku. 23 November. REPORT.AZ/ The State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan Republic successfully continues operational-search and border security measures implemented in the field of ensuring border security, Report informs citing SBS.

On November 19, as a result of operational-search actions at the checkpoint of Bilasuvar  the Border Guard border officials found 380 grams of heroin when inspecting Iranian citizens Zahareh Chin Javer Chapar, born in 1991 and Ghahremani Moglanlov Mahdi, born in 1992.

As a result of the operations on November 20, 990 Methadone Psychotropic Pills, 655 grams of marijuana and 505 grams of item similar to precursor were seized in the field of border service near the Garavuldash village of Yardimli region in the territory of "Goytapa" Border Guard Service of the Border Troops.

The necessary operational and investigative measures are underway on both facts.
