Severe flooding destroyed bridges in Azerbaijan’s Astara and caused damage to infrastructure, Report informs.
As a result of heavy rains that began the night before, the water level in mountain rivers sharply increased.
A powerful flood collapsed a bridge in the village of Vago. The Pansar-Toradi road was also damaged, and communication with more than 10 villages was interrupted.
Floods are also observed on the Pansarchay River, and road communication with several villages has been interrupted.
According to preliminary information, a powerful flood washed out bridges in several other villages. In the villages of Tangerud, Shiyakaran, Pansar, Arkivan, farms suffered serious damage.
