Baku. 20 December. REPORT.AZ/ Officers of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have detained persons named Farhad and Asaf who brought 17,000 counterfeit euros from Turkey and exchanged them for 32 606 AZN in Baku, Report informs citing the press service of MIA.

Baku resident Asaf Novruzov and resident of Lankaran, Farhad Hasanzadeh, suspected of committing the crime, were detained as a result of the immediate search and investigation.

During the review counterfeit 25,000 euros and other material evidence were seized from their office in Baku.

Criminal case on Article 204.2. (Manufacturing or selling of counterfeit money or securities, committing the same crimes in significant amount or by person, who have been convicted earlier for manufacturing or selling of counterfeit money or securities) has been launched.
