France grants 130 mine detectors to Azerbaijan

France presented 130 mine detectors to the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) ​​following the Declaration of Intent dated February 25, 2022, at the event held at the Horadiz regional center of the agency, ANAMA told Report.

Vugar Suleymanov, the Chairman of the Board of the ANAMA, and Zachary Gros, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, spoke at the event.

Suleymanov spoke about the activities of the agency. He said that the mine detectors provided by the embassy will contribute to the mine and unexploded ordnance clearance activities in Azerbaijan and the provision of safer conditions.

Later, the participants of the event inspected mine detectors and visited the exhibition organized by the agency on mines and unexploded ordnance.
