Former rep of Kazakhstan Civil Aviation Committee talks on crash of AZAL plane

Famous pilot and former head of flight operations at Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) Toty Amirova has commented on the crash of Azerbaijan Airlines' Embraer 190 near Aktau, Report informs via Tengrinews.kz.

According to her, the investigation commission may include not only representatives from the aircraft manufacturer - Brazil but also representatives from the engine manufacturer's country, GE (US).

"Moreover, many citizens are concerned that the commission might conceal the real cause of the aviation incident, but I am confident that in our current reality, it's impossible to hide anything anymore. In recent years, technology has advanced significantly, and in modern aircraft, information from the 'black box' is duplicated on servers, and some airlines even maintain real-time recording from 'black boxes,' so destroying them would be unlikely. Communications between air traffic controllers and pilots can even be listened to in real-time, and they are recorded on electronic media. There's also no reason to delay, as there are legal deadlines that must be met to avoid ICAO remarks and to prevent being placed on the 'blacklist' again," Amirova noted.
