Ex-deputy minister charged with illegal entry into Parliament

An appeal was filed to the court on pre-trial detention of four more persons accused of breaking into the building of Milli Majlis during the support campaign to the Azerbaijani Army.

The convicted people are Mustafatev Sayavush Firudin, Ramid Zakrulla, Movlayev Dayanat Karam, and Imanov Bakhtiyar Badal, Report says.

They are charged under Article 186.2.1 of the Criminal Code (intentional destruction or damage to property by causing extensive damage to the victim), Article 233 (organizing or actively participating in actions that violate public order) and Article 315 (to resist or use of force against a government official).
The court will consider submissions on July 21.

Notably, Sayavush Mustayavev served Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. After 8 years in prison he was released in 2001 by a pardon decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
