Eldar Samadov: Fate of 170 people missing in wake of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan clarified

A total of 3,990 people have been registered as missing as a result of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan, according to current data, Eldar Samadov, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons, said.

According to Report, Samadov noted that through searches and identification of remains carried out in recent years, the fate of 170 Azerbaijani citizens has been clarified.

"Today we are facing yet another clear fact of a crime committed by Armenia. For years, the Armenian side falsely claimed that a humanitarian corridor had been opened for the civilian population of Khojaly. However, the recently discovered mass grave proves that there was no such corridor," Samadov said.

Two mass graves were discovered in April in the liberated territories, one of which — located along the Askaran-Khojaly road — contained the remains of at least seven individuals.
