Baku launches criminal case on wounding of Azerbaijani general in landmine explosion

A criminal case was initiated on the fact of wounding the ex-commander of the 1st Army Corps, Major General Hikmat Hasanov, in a landmine explosion in liberated Aghdam, Prosecutor General's Office said in response to Report's inquiry.

"Given the fact that Major General Hikmat Hasanov was wounded as a result of a mine explosion when he entered the liberated Aghdam region in an armored vehicle, a criminal case has been launched in the Military Prosecutor's Office, and an investigation is underway under Articles 29, 120.2.7. (attempted murder of two or more persons) and 29, 120.2.12 (attempted murder motivated by national, racial, religious hatred or hostility) ", the Prosecutor's Office said.
