Baku. 26 November. REPORT.AZ/ Report News Agency correspondent, Mubariz Aslanov who was sent on an official journey to Kiev, capital of Ukraine, was pursued and regularly exposed to armed threats by unidentified people.

Thus, Mubariz Aslanov, who saw that unknown people in Skoda car with a AA6164BI state license plate took his photo while he was leaving a local cafe in Kiev, at Shota Rustavili 4, at 19:30 local time on November 26. He was put on a gun when he tried to approach the car. There were two men and a woman in the car. The journalist dodged on the door of the café, fearing the gunshot. When he tried to approach the car, his photo was taken several times. Then they left the scene. The journalist informed 102 service of the Ukrainian police about the incident and the representative of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan in Ukraine Embassy.

Nevertheless, the journalist felt that he was pursued in the next few days and his photo was again taken on the night of November 23, at the intersection of Bassseyn and Shota Rustavli streets by unknown person. An unknown person did not answer the questions about his identity and escaped from the scene.

Today - on November 26, at 10: 00 Mubariz Aslanov was motioned “to keep silence” and was put on a gun by an unknown man who was in Jeep while walking on the pavement at Espaladnaya street, 20. When the journalist asked “Who are you?” What do you want?”, that armed person closed the door. When Aslanov tried to approach and open the car, a tall person wearing glasses grabbed him by the arm and said: "You was told to keep silence!" Then he pushed him and fleed the scene by car.

With the legal and organizational support of the Azerbaijani diaspora an appeal has already been submitted to the Kiev police department of the Pechersk district. A criminal case has been filed under Article 129 (Death threat) of the Criminal Code "EO 57636" and investigation is underway.

The route of Skoda car, which pursued and threatened the journalist on November 20, was determined by preliminary investigation and it became clear that the car had pursued Aslanov all the day long and waited for the journalist for hours.

Notably, Mubariz Aslanov, who have been covering diaspora activities in Ukraine and public and political life of the country, has never faced such a situation. The journalist was also sent on an official journey to highlight the socio-political situation in Ukraine during the conflict and did not see any obstacles to his professional activities. This time, Aslanov was sent to prepare interviews with the deputies of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine (parliament), several ministers of the Cabinet, public and political figures, deputies of the country, as well as other materials on the development of relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
