"Fires broke out in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions, and in the Marmara region, some places were extinguished, and some areas are being extinguished," a spokesperson for the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) Osman Işık told journalists, Report informs.
According to him, some losses were recorded during the fires: "Our brother Azerbaijan helped us extinguish these fires. Thank you very much. Today we will meet Azerbaijani firefighters in Ordu and send them off. May God be pleased with our Azerbaijani brothers. Azerbaijan and Turkey are brothers. It's always important to support each other in these difficult times."
