Young Azerbaijani starts working at Meta

Young Azerbaijani Emin Guliyev has started working as a Chief Software Engineer at Meta, one of the multinational corporations in the United States, Report informs.

Guliyev noted that Meta presented him with two pairs of socks, one white and the other gray.

The writings on the socks' labels read: "Every journey starts with a step. And every community starts with a voice. Here's to taking steps to build community at Meta."

After graduating from the Technical University of Munich, Guliyev worked in various positions at Microsoft, Amazon and Delivery Hero.

Facebook recently rebranded as Meta and now owns various services such as Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.

As of late 2021, the total number of Meta employees reached 72,000.
