Telegram to disclose IP addresses and phone numbers of rule violators

Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced that the popular messaging app will now disclose the IP addresses and phone numbers of users who violate its rules to relevant authorities, in response to their justified requests. Report informs via Russian media that this move comes as part of an update to Telegram's privacy policy.
Durov emphasized that this measure is aimed at curbing the misuse of the platform for selling "illegal goods" and ensuring a safer user experience.
