TEKNOFEST to feature air show of Azerbaijani and Turkish pilots

The Aerospace and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST, which will be held for the first time in Azerbaijan on May 26-29 with the steering support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, will be remembered for the grandiose final stages of the air show, exhibitions, entertainment attractions, a demonstration of Azerbaijani and Turkish aircraft, the Azerbaijani startup summit TAKE OFF, concert program and other surprises, Minister Rashad Nabiyev told a presser.

The event was also attended by Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TEKNOFEST, head of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Fakf) Selcuk Bayraktar. He noted that TEKNOFEST had been held in Turkey annually since 2018 jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the T3 Foundation, a partnership of more than 60 government agencies, universities and private companies. The main goal of TEKNOFEST is to popularize aviation, astronautics, digital economy, education, and other spheres among young people, develop entrepreneurship in these areas, reveal the knowledge and skills of young engineers through competitions organized within the framework of the festival, as well as present domestic technologies to the general public.

Nabiyev said that the event will be held on the territory of Bakı Kristal Zalı LLC and the Seaside National Park. Within the framework of the festival, competitions will be held in 10 nominations, including Robotics, Green Technologies (GreenTech), Agricultural Technologies (AgriTech), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Amateur Satellite Modeling, Socially Oriented Technologies, Smart Qarabağ Hackathon, Sailplaner, Baku Skills, Rocket League.

The main partners of the competitions are the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovation under the President, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Azerbaijan Space Agency, AzInTelecom LLC, the National Aviation Academy, ADA University, Azerbaijan Cybersport Federation, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Small and Medium Business Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy and others.
