Sweden and the United States are consolidating bilateral cooperation in the development of 6G technologies, according to the Swedish government, Report informs via Agenzia Nova.
“The Undersecretary (of the Swedish Foreign Ministry) Jan Knutsson and the US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell have signed a joint announcement on cooperation in the development of 6G technologies between Sweden and the United States,” reads a note from the Swedish government.
Research into 6G mobile networks is currently in its early stages, but in the future mobile communications are expected to be significantly faster and more reliable, with better data processing, stable connections and reduced delays, the statement continues.
“Sweden is at the forefront of the development and applications of wireless technologies, while the United States is a key strategic partner in this sector,” explains the Stockholm government.
The bilateral statement with the United States adds to a previously adopted agreement on the development of 6G technologies, signed by Sweden, the United States and eight other countries, the statement concludes.
