The Falcon 9 rocket carrier successfully launched another batch of 22 mini-satellites to expand the coverage of the global Internet network of the Starlink system, Report informs, citing SpaceX.
On Tuesday, August 20 at 9:20 a.m. ET (GMT-5), Falcon 9 launched 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The first-stage booster supporting this mission was on its first flight.
The first reusable part of the launch vehicle, often referred to as the first stage, successfully made a controlled vertical landing on the drone platform named A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean after separation.
