There is a need for new approaches in cybersecurity, the head of the Electronic Security Service under the Digital Development and Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan, Samir Rasulov, said at a conference in Baku on the sidelines of the "Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023" (CIDC-2023) event, Report informs.
According to him, new applications and systems are constantly being launched on the global market: “Solutions that protect them have a very short lifespan, sometimes even a few months. This poses a serious cybersecurity challenge. Therefore, the approach of the relevant authorities to the security issue has changed.”
He noted that today all processes are automated using artificial intelligence:
“Now everyone understands that we cannot protect our systems from all threats. The key here is timely detection of threats and attacks and elimination of their consequences.”
For this purpose, a special center has been created in which relevant research is carried out, Rasulov emphasized.
