Rashad Nabiyev: State plays important role in achieving innovative development

Along with the private sector, the public sector also plays an important role in achieving innovative development in Azerbaijan, Minister Rashad Nabiyev said at the II Annual Innovation Summit organized by PASHA Holding LLC and supported by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in Baku.

"The decrees signed by the country's president in this field aim to turn Azerbaijan into an innovative country. It is crucial to have inventions for the development of this field. At present, such initiatives have a practical result of 2%," he said.

"Of course, broadband internet services should also be available for the development of innovations. We have provided more than 500,000 subscribers with high-speed internet. This is five times more than 5 years ago. By the end of 2024, we have set a goal to provide the country with broadband internet," Nabiyev added.
