Project being prepared for permanent holding of TEKNOFEST in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has many talented young people in the field of science and technology, Melih Erdem, the Turkish representative at the TEKNOFEST festival, told Report.

According to him, there is great interest in TEKNOFEST from Azerbaijan:

"More than 1 million participants attended the festival this year. After Türkiye, most participants are from Azerbaijan. There are many talented people among Azerbaijani youth in the field of technology. They apply for participation from different regions of Azerbaijan, they are interested in the conditions. For example, last year, one of the young people installed a sign language program using artificial intelligence. I liked it very much. Another young man developed a drone to extinguish forest fires. Another one separated hydrogen from seawater and obtained fuel. There are not a few really high-level young programmers in Azerbaijan. This makes me very happy. If there is an investment in re-implementation of these projects, in my opinion, greater benefits will be achieved."

Erdem said that they started cooperation with the students of Sumgayit State University (SDU) two years ago.

The expert also added that they are currently working on projects for the permanent holding of TEKNOFEST in Azerbaijan.
