Over 224 million malicious links, viruses, virus-containing files blocked in Azerbaijan

Thanks to new-generation protection equipment, 81 million malicious links were blocked in the AzstateNet state network to ensure the information security of Azerbaijan's state institutions in the 3rd quarter of 2022, Report informs, citing the country's Computer Emergency Response Center of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service.

This indicator was 101 million in the first quarter and 96 million in the second quarter. In total, 224 million malicious links were blocked in 9 months.

In July-September, 2022, 873,000 harmful viruses were blocked by the centralized antivirus system in the AzstateNet state network to ensure the information security of state institutions.

In the first nine months of 2022 (2.9 million), 1.19 million harmful viruses were blocked in the first quarter and 837,000 in the second quarter.

In order to ensure the information security of state institutions, 83,000 virus-containing files have been blocked by special Sandbox protection systems in the AzstateNet state network.
