The Russian analogue of the App Store and Google Play will be ready by the summer of this year, and the store will work on Android, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, Report informs citing Russian media.
He noted that he personally monitors the development.
The App Store and Google Play, as the prime minister said, may soon restrict access for users from Russia.
The head of government called on developers and programmers to create “their own ecosystem.”
“We have everything for this. There are elements of this ecosystem that need to be finalized. We need to make our own online store, because we may be banned from downloading by the App Store and Google Play,” he said.
