Main goals of Azerbaijan's Digital Economy Strategy announced

Our digital economy strategy will concentrate on two primary building blocks, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Elnur Aliyev, said at the InMerge Innovation Summit in Baku, Report informs.

“Accelerating the digitalization of existing sectors: This involves harnessing digital technologies to digitize our core economic sectors and capturing value from new digital businesses. We will focus on enabling the creation of new businesses that generate value through digital applications.

“Empowering citizens with digital skills: We aim to accelerate GDP growth by enhancing digital literacy across all age groups. To support these goals, we will enhance the efficiency of government operations through digitalization.

“Furthermore, we are committed to investing in nationwide innovation. We recognize the importance of adopting new technologies and closely following global developments,” the Deputy Minister said.
