Google to convert Android phones into earthquake detectors

Google is preparing to roll out the world's largest earthquake warning network.
According to Report, citing TASS, the company has announced its intention to create the most comprehensive network for earthquake recognition from Android smartphones.
"From now on, your Android phone may be part of an earthquake alert system. It means that your phone can be a mini seismometer and connect to millions of other Android phones to create the world's largest earthquake detection system," the statement said.
