Cyberattacks on Azerbaijani state bodies drop by over 10%

In 2024, the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan identified 1,069 cyberattacks (indicators of compromise -IOCs) against state bodies in the country, which is 10.2% fewer year-on-year, Report informs.

As many as 550 cyber threats were identified and blocked based on internal investigation, and 520 based on investigation of incidents reported by government agencies.

In December 2024 alone, 156 cyberattacks were identified, which is 56% more compared to a year ago.

Last year, 814.37 million malicious links were blocked on the AzStateNet network, more than 4.48 million malicious electronic documents were blocked through the central antivirus system installed on end users, while 195,082 malicious electronic documents were blocked through the Sandbox protection system.
