Azerbaijan ranked 61 among 141 countries for the speed of mobile internet in December 2022, down three positions compared to November, Report informs, citing the Speedtest Global Index.

The average download speed of mobile internet made 19.93 Mbit/s across the country last month.

Qatar is leading in mobile internet speed with 169.51 Mbit/s, and Afghanistan is the last on the list with 5.18 Mbit/s.

According to the information, in the last month of 2022, Azerbaijan ranked 116th in the world according to the average speed of fixed broadband internet, 2 positions higher than in November. In December, the country's average speed of fixed broadband internet was 27.15 MB/S.

A study was conducted in 178 countries regarding fixed broadband internet speed. Singapore ranks (225.71 MB/S), and Cuba is the in the ranking (1.91 MB/S).

In the ranking of cities last year, Baku fell one place in mobile internet speed and took 76th place with a speed of 37.94 MB/s.

According to the speed of fixed broadband internet, the capital of Azerbaijan ranked 137th with a speed of 29.5 MB/s, which means a drop of 4 places.

The ranking includes 172 cities on mobile internet speed and 194 cities on fixed broadband internet speed.
