Azerbaijan takes part in conference of Int'l Astronautical Federation

The delegation of the Space Agency under the Digital Development and Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos) is taking part in the Spring Meetings conference of the International Astronautical Federation, which has been held since March 28 in Paris, Report informs.

Azercosmos chairman Samaddin Asadov spoke about the preparations for the International Astronautical Congress, which will be held in Baku in 2023 after a 50-year break, including the activities of Azercosmos and contribution to the space ecosystem.

The conference included a session with the participation of officials from the US National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA), the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency. The session participants touched upon the goal of discovering the secrets of the solar system with the help of the James Webb space telescope, stressed the importance of international cooperation for the implementation of this mission.
