Azerbaijan signs joint statement with UN Conference on Trade and Development

Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade met with Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Mukhisa Kituyi at the Agency for Innovation.

Report informs citing the Ministry that a joint declaration of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development with the Government of Azerbaijan was signed at the meeting.

The sides also discussed the prospects of cooperation, the organization of access of local start-ups to the world market.

Then UNCTAD Secretary General Mukhisa Kituyi met with start-ups. At the event, the Barama Business Incubation and Accreditation Center of the Agency for Innovation, as well as the start-ups operating in the innovation ecosystem of Azerbaijan presented their projects.

The guests were informed about the launch of Barama's new acceleration program. The winners of the program will receive a variety of technical, financial, legal and financial services within 12 weeks, and they will be supported in signing and contracts with public and private entities and conducting their sales.

The final phase of the program will help attract investment in selected projects.
