Azerbaijan outlines principles of activities in space

Space activities in Azerbaijan can be carried out on the basis of five principles, as reflected in the bill "On Space Activities", presented in the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev and discussed at today's meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.

Report informs that, according to the document, these are the following five principles:

- use of outer space for peaceful purposes;

- protection of national interests;

- efficient use of space resources;

- state control over national activities;

- safety of space activities and the space industry, reducing the impact of space debris on the environment.
