Azerbaijan blocks 24 fake domains similar to names of government agencies

Twenty-four fake domains similar to the names of government agencies in Azerbaijan were blocked in the first half of 2024, marking a significant drop of 2.2 times year-on-year, Report informs, citing Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan.
Over the course of six months, 41 new domains were made available to government agencies in Azerbaijan, which is 29% less than a year ago.
At the same time, 157 new subdomains were provided to government agencies in January-June 2024, representing a 40% increase from the corresponding period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, in 2023, government agencies received 119 new domains and 323 new subdomains. During the reporting period, 186 fake domains were detected and blocked.
