In April this year, Azerbaijan ranked 116th among 180 countries in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed with the average download speed of 28.83 Mbps.

Report informs citing the Speedtest Global Index that Azerbaijan has advanced two notches compared to March.

In terms of fixed broadband internet speeds, Singapore ranked first (242.01 MB/s) and Cuba ranked last (1.97 MB/s).

Last month, Azerbaijan dropped four notches in terms of mobile internet speed, ranking 58th among 138 countries.

In the list of mobile operators, Qatar ranked first (189.98 MB/s) and Yemen finished last (3.98 MB/s).

In addition, in March, the city of Baku dropped one step in terms of mobile Internet speed (41.10 MB/s), ranking 74th among 171 cities. In terms of the speed of fixed broadband Internet, the capital of Azerbaijan has risen by one step and ranked 136th (30.93 MB/s).

Among cities, the first place in terms of mobile Internet speed was taken by Er Rayyan (Qatar), with the download speed of 199.28 MB / s, and the last place was taken by the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, with 4 MB/s.

The ranking of cities on fixed broadband Internet includes 192 cities. The Chinese capital Beijing topped the list (260.14 MB/s), while Havana was the last in the ranking (1.88 MB/s).
