Azerbaijan advances five notches in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed

In November this year, Azerbaijan ranked 116th among 181 countries in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed, with an average download speed of 33.03 Mbps.

Report informs, citing the Speedtest Global Index, that Azerbaijan has advanced five notches compared to October.

In terms of fixed broadband Internet speeds, Singapur ranked first (263.51 MB/s) and Cuba ranked last (2.11 MB/s).

Last month, Azerbaijan, with 45.45 MB/s, dropped three notches in terms of mobile internet speed, ranking 58th among 145 countries.

In terms of mobile internet speed, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (324.92 MB/S) was first, and Cuba (3.90 MB/S) was 145th.

Moreover, in September, the city of Baku (45.56 MB/s) ranked 73rd among 169 cities in terms of mobile Internet speed. As for the speed of fixed broadband Internet, the capital of Azerbaijan has risen by four steps and ranked 137th (35.72 MB/s).

Among cities, the first place in terms of mobile Internet speed was taken by Dubai (the UAE), with a download speed of 386.62 MB/s, and the last place was taken by the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, with 4.89 MB/s.

The ranking of cities on fixed broadband Internet includes 195 cities. Beijing topped the list (296.32 MB/s), while Havana was the last in the ranking (1.94 MB/s).
