Apple has extended the warranty on defective iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro smartphones to three years from the date of purchase.
Report informs citing Gazeta.ru that, according to MacRumors, the decision applies to gadgets whose speaker stops working over time.
The corporation acknowledged the problem back in 2021 and announced a service program. According to them, some iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro smartphones have a defect, due to which there is no sound from the speaker during a telephone conversation.
Apple and Authorized Service Providers shall replace the defective module free of charge. While in 2021 the replacement period was set within two years after the purchase, now Apple has extended it to three years.
